What is a Community Connector?

Community Connectors support parents and carers of children aged 0-11 years old with information on their waiting list journey and signpost them to local services that can be accessed without a formal diagnosis.

What We Do

Once your child has been accepted onto the Neurodevelopmental Service waiting list, you will have access to these free events.

These events are not assessments. They are run to provide information and raise awareness about Neurodevelopmental needs and support available.

  • Face-to-face
  • 15-minute presentation on the Neurodevelopmental Service waiting list, assessment process and available support services.
  • Stalls from the Local Authority, education, and charity services
  • Advertised here: Events
  • Sessions for parents and carers are run in Cardiff and in the Vale of Glamorgan as the support services available in the two areas are different.

  • Face-to-face in primary schools
  • No need to book
  • 10-minute presentation on available support services
  • Chat with a Community Connector and ask questions
  • Advertised through your primary school

  • Face-to-face or online
  • Presentations by professionals
  • Practical advice and strategies
  • On topics such as emotional regulation, Occupational Therapy and SNAP Cymru
  • Self-register on Eventbrite
